Lanard's Alien line Soldier 11/22/2019 (Fri) 14:36:40 No. 119
Opinions on these? All of them are £9.99 except the Queen (she's £19.99) but look like instant purchases for me. Think I might army build the Xenomorph drone pack (one with the fachugger).

They're roughly 4 inch scale for those wondering, and the Queen is just over 12 inches

They're meant to come out in the new year.

Like the solid color aliens, but wish their colors were a tad darker
>>124
Any idea why they didn't go with black xenos? I don't remember these colours in the movies.

Wheres "Lanard Toys" from?
i recall them doing those "The Corps" toys some years ago.

They're nice, but not great. A bit KO-like with simple one molded plastic color and the minimal articulation. It's quite annoying that the Aliens don't get full articulation like the humans, it's either jointed elbows or knees.

Maybe if I see them in stores (which I don't think would happen since I live overseas) I'll grab one or two.

It's reminiscent of the vintage Kenner aliens toyline

Apparently they're from Hong Kong
Corps line still running >>119

Ah that's why I didn't recognise them. Mantis and bull alien are so cool looking, I hope Lanard's revival is succesful enough that they release more waves. Power Loader would be another great addition.
More sets. Turns out the queen has 20 POA too, which is a nice bonus. Not as big a fan on the marines in this wave, as I much prefer the more retro look of these >>119

What's the souce? It's really hard for me to believe that Lanard toys would make a toy with 20 PoA, especially since the existing promo pics >>119 >>120 indicate otherwise. But if they do, won't it be the most articulated to they ever made? If it means the queen will have knee joints, I'll might have to get it, I'm a sucker for purple toys.

>Not as big a fan on the marines in this wave, as I much prefer the more retro look of these
Agreed, these ones just look like regular boring soldiers.

P.S. I just noticed the alien figures have ankle pivots, it would be so much better to have elbow joints instead.

>What's the source?
The packaging itself. I was amazed at it too, I didn't expect the madmen at Lanard to give her so much articulation.

The soldiers themselves also seem to have names.
>>228
Neat! So far I can only count 16 PoA, I guess we will have to wait for reviews to see how exactly the articulation works.
Looks like she won't have knees after all, that's a bummer.

>they even gave names to their random reused soldiers
Oh, that's cute
>>219
vehicle is too small
>>249
but can you fit soldiers in it?

its too fucking small.

I caught up with a good review and as I thought it might be; the "20 PoA" it's another one those cheats toy companies do by counting how the joints are constructed rather than the location of the joint, e.g. ball hinge joints would count as two PoA instead of one. In reality, she have 15 PoA: neck, jaw, tongue, shoulders, elbows, smaller arms, hips, feet and two points at the tail.

Despite the lack of articulation which leaves much to be desired, it's really fun and probably the best one from the line, huge shame it's Wallmart exclusive.

That's disappointing, think I'll wait for more reviews and information to come out before I get her
