The only reason earthrise works that way is forced differences, even the minor issues with siege will stick out compared to the near MP closeness of earthrise prime. Its reused toolingfrom studio series i think?
to get rid of some notable issues.
This is probably the end of the road for such primes to really work anyway. They really do need gimmicks again to even be slightly worth it.not that i really get primes most of the time anyway.
>I don't see much of play value with this
I'm not exactly expecting much value from things that clearly were never built for it; it'd be like expecting good base modes from the scramble city main bots.
Actually that really makes me realize them actually normally having base modes makes them a decent fit for a later line huh. Combiner Wars was a decent time ago anyway.
>Generations by whole with few exceptions is geewun redone.
Yeah but a lot more emphasis on the redone part use to exist didn't it. Older Gen lines didn't give me the exact same alt mode. Power of the Primes, Combiner Wars and Titans Returns all have unique gimmicks to give some value to owning them all.
This also didn't suddenly mean they released the same idea of a megatronyou can argue primes trailer and different price point is "enough of a difference"
; who really doesn't fit under this argument.
Yes it makes sense to give every line a megatron, but it doesn't make sense to spam the same one. Literally no-one actually cares what G1 tron is, well outside of the gun thing which will never happen.
A helicopter, truck or fuck it; a 2007 movie styled altmode G1 tron could be a thing and nobody would care if the robot mode looked right.
>I mean take Fortress Maximus for example.
Maximus is very blatantly hurt by cost cutting, Scorponok is very much just greeble. Which very much isn't a shock considering the line it comes from.
The panels look like G1 scorp to me, he's clearly missing a few parts from his G1 self; but the original toy also had a bunch of random panels.
