Autumn 2019 Anonymous 09/13/2019 (Fri) 22:26:04 No. 2677
New season starts in only 2 weeks!
What are you looking forward to?
What do you suspect is garbage?

https://anidb.net/anime/season/?do=calendar&h=1&last.anime.month=22&last.anime.year=2019

some highlights:
>Boat Sluts: China edition
>wrestler isekai kemonomimi
>another season of psycho pass?
>no guns life
>another season of bokuben?
>another season of boku no hero academia
>raifus
>another season of shokugeki
>chink boat sluts
I sleep
>psycho pass s3
Is urobutcher back as director? He needs to retcon s2, because that was a disgrace in anime.
>boku no naruto academia: soul society arc
Only shonenniggers will enjoy it.
>s3 of shokugeki
S2 was a snore, I have no expectations for this
>Kandagawa Jet Girls
Two brown girls and two lolis, I'm also assuming that the entire cast are muff divers.
>Houkago Saikoro Club
Looks really fucking boring, this reminds me of the OP of Asobi Asobase but if it was actually taken seriously. I even remember in Asobi Asobase there was a scene when some random JCs walked past their club room and said that a Past Timers Club would be boring as hell and this anime would probably prove her right. The only hope I have are the last to seconds of the PV that hints that the show might have something more than just boring girls doing boring stuff.
>Sherlock
Looks interesting.
>Rifle is Beautiful
Tried to look up PVs but only found /k/ videos.
>Hi Score Girl
Only gonna be 9 episodes so I assume they're doing another +3 OVA release later on. I hope they finish the entire story, they got to about the halfway point with 15 episodes so it's possible to adapt the whole thing.
I dropped Shokugeki S2 half way through so I don't know how far they get but the manga goes NTR at a certain point and never turns back.

Kemonomimi is basically Shibata in fantasy land. Manga didn't really pace well and was mostly physcal gags so I hope it improve on translation.

I don't have much hope for anime anymore, but maybe something will come along.

>no guns life
aaawwwww yyiiiisssss
>>2677
>Bananya
Fuck finally
mostly looks like a sleeper season so far.

shokugeki went to shit after the appearance of aizen.
boku no hero will probably be enjoyable but they passed the best part of the manga.

The thunderbolt fantasy and Lupin movies should be good.
>>2677
>Boat Sluts: China edition
I hope South Dakota will get some screen time.
>>2714
We've found the only anon that cares. Do you need a friend? You must feel so alone.
>>2715
Silly, anon, South Dakota is everything i need.
>>2723
I do have to commend your spirit. Ganbatte anon.
I haven't really looked into it yet but I'll at least pick up jet girls, psycho pass 3, azure lane, and boku no hero academia.
Will watching boat sluts anime enhance my faps to boatsluts?

Also some bonus Zara for whoever.
Black Fox has kind of a cool synopsis but the animation in the preview is not impressive

Blade of the Immortal looks really cool to me and has a nice vintage aesthetic BUT it looks like it's an amazon original which has be skeptical- I'm still interested

Season kicks off well with Kemono Michi. The manga got stale fast, but I see they've reorganized the timeline of events here, which may be beneficial.
Azur Lane is about what expected, maybe slightly better animation (I had low expectations). I want to fuck this boat.

I'll watch it, but it'll probably be trash.
>Grandjew Fantasy S2
It might be interesting, if only because I played the gacha.
>Strike Witches film
I need to finish the previous seasons first, I can't just jump into it and expect to understand the deep and intricate plot.

>hataage! kemono michi

don't let it happen again, very dishonorable
>honzuki no gekokujou
story of the printing press, presented by a loli
art is off sometimes, story seems boring, I expect this is a show for 6-10 year olds
>ore wo suki nano wa omae dake ka yo
better oregairu than oregairu. girls were cute.
>houkago saikoro club
boring. only thing worth discussing is the games they are playing. I hope the manager doesn't lose every single game, he seems like an okay guy. none of the girls are remotely likeable.
>choyoyu
why did they pack all of these kids on 1 plane? where they terminally insufferable and everyone decided hey let's send them on a plane and pray it crashes? why did the plane crash if they're so talented and smart? politician is worst gary stu and will end up being MC, I hate this so much.

I've read the manga up to a point now. I like CGDCT, but for some reason I wanted them to focus more on the /tg/ aspects of this. Sadly it steers hard into regular CGDCT, fast.

...definitely not as easy as it looks at first glance. Parallax, the fact there's edge blurring (not sure what it's technical name is) among other things.

Kandagawa Jet Girls
Just watched ep1. 2 babes one driver one shooter race through the channels of Tokyo. Whenever you hit the other girl with your gun she loses part of her clothes. Lots of oppai and pantsu. Characters are very generic. Likely not worth to watch.

>Smut is always worth a watch.
I won't necessarily disagree, but it's at its best when it goes beyond just showing nipples and panties. When they really go berserk and make things look sexual as possible without actually doing so, it's even better. This is on the track to doing so at least but it also matters if they're intending to keep up the lewd and not just using it as episode 1 bait.
>decide to watch the Phantasy Star Online 2 adaptation to see what a shitshow it'll be
>delicious brown girl gets killed off just minutes into the show
I thought it couldn't be worse than the PSO2 anime from a few years ago, but here we are.
>>4144
They took all the default character designs and killed them off immediately. Don't use default character designs, kids!
At least the show itself is moving along alright so far, with various story events merged and shuffled around to be more coherent.

I was hoping it'd be more grimdark edgeshit but they have the MCs get saved by seal team 6. how cool would it have been to have it be like starship troppers where they are just abandoned on some shitty bug planet and have to make their way back to a friendly base while avoiding being detected and killed by bugs

>>4168
You can't expect them to deviate that hard from the story of the game in an adaptation of a game. However, if Sega is smart, there's going to be some amazing Starship Troopers level shit if they animate the quarry defense emergency quest. It's pretty much that scene from ST where they get to the base and find out it's a trap, except in PSO2, there's no high walls for initial protection. Hell, the attack on the ship early on in the game should be like an urban version of ST if they do it right.
(614.39 KB 1920x4320 1570635242473.jpg)
So what's your AOTS so far?
Babylon seems interesting, but as you could see in episode 2, protag is too rigid in his way (probably why he was named this way) and easily gets people under his skin. He was practically begging the whore to confess that she did something wrong.
And with how this episode ended; having to report in front of the state official (mayor?) that he is a criminal; he will surely get his ass reamed.

I don't know if there's a manga or LN, but I'd guess he'll be demoted and sent to work in some obscure company where he will meet the street smart dude and they will go and solve the case with a few choices key player in unorthodox way.
That would be a classic development, but satisfying IMO.
Madhouse does it again.
I like anime the most when it's trying to be weird like this.

shoot laser guns at targets that are 10m away (didn't look at all like 10m, more like 10 ft), what's the point?
it's not as cute as other CGDCT, it doesn't let you fanboy your favorite raifu like upotte! did, its tournament arcs will be competition shooting if they indeed settle on a tournament arc instead of cgdct hijinks or club drama which won't be as exciting as interclub drama like they tried in c3-bu.
>>4353
>what's the point?
My sentiments exactly. Competition shooting is so divorced from reality that it's embarrassing, but fucking ten metre air rifle takes it even further and becomes outright disgusting. Shooting something that looks like a fucking nerf gun and only just barely hits harder than one at a target close enough that you could reach out and poke a hole in the bullseye with you finger? Not thanks. Who would find a show about that interesting? Better yet, who would actually want to compete in a "sport" like that? Go shoot a real gun.

I was skeptical about Psychopass 3 but it's pretty solid imo.
>>5376
Seconded. Third one was my favorite. First had the most stupid plot, but it wasn't bad, and the art and animation made up for it.
I was wondering if Sega was going to bother putting Stratos in at this point because of how much material they have to get through before she becomes relevant, but here she is. Bold move seeing as how PSO2 will be dead before they ever get to animate the Photoner Part since the western release in 2020 will draw the Eye of Socjus onto the game and kill it.
>>5612
I'm more worried about how it'll draw the retard hackers back in after they left the game alone all these years. Didn't Sega say they originally planned for PSO2 to last ten years? Since they don't give a shit about the West it only has to last a little longer.

>>5625
>Didn't Sega say they originally planned for PSO2 to last ten years
Give or take depending if they finished the story or if it's still profiting.
>>5625
I hadn't thought about the hackers because you couldn't pay me to play on the western servers. I doubt they've cared about the game for years. Hell, not even most PSO2 fans have cared about the game in years, which brings us to your other point.
The devs plans for an MMO don't mean shit when the publisher decides to pull the plug because it's not profitable. Shin Megami Tensei Imagine had several years of content planned at the time it was shut down shortly after its 9th anniversary. The reason Sega is even bothering to localize PSO2 after so long is because the JP server is bleeding players and slowly becoming unprofitable. They don't realize this will just kill the game faster when SJWs ree enough to get Sega to ban slutwear on all servers, thus removing the last thing keeping the whales on PSO2.
>>5651
SJW bullshit will be restricted to the Western servers, the shortlived SEA servers had no effect on JP and Sega knows that dressing weird and dancing in the lobby is part of the PSO2 experience. Western servers will die quickly like SEA did since they'll be restricted as hell, good riddance to that.
What bothers me with the hackers is how their bullshit early on in the game's life caused that IP block. With the game coming out in the West next year, any new bullshit could make it happen all over again. I used a JP proxy then and can do it again but it's just another pain in the ass I'd rather not deal with. We'll just have to see what happens.

To get back to the anime, they've done a decent job making it feel like death is an everyday part of being ARKS, so Uruk/Ulku dying felt more natural than it did in the games. Of course I know she ain't really dead but secondaries will be more willing to accept Theodore's emo phase now.

>Boat sluts: China edition
Remind me again, how did Azur Lane managed to carve out their own audience on their own to the point that they have an anime made on their own buck? Is it because they were the first ones to capitalize on the 'gachashit but on smartphones' that KanColle missed (or rather, refuse to get on to) ?
>>5786
Part of it is smartphones, but another big part is KanColle refusing to change their game system or at least make a spinoff. RNG compass is terrible and only serves as an obvious resource drain. Azur Lane's gameplay isn't all that great but it's stellar in comparison.
>>5810
The Azur Lane thread back on 8chan /animu/ had gameplay webms of both KanColle and Azur Lane for a side to side comparison and the difference is night & day.
It also helps that chinks did hire actual Jap artists for some of the boats, though they did also hire other chink and Korean artists too.
There's also the collabs Azur Lane did such as the one where they have with Neptunia and you get the ship versions of Nep and the CPUs, there's also the console Azur Lane game made by the Japanese and manga on top of the Anime.
Another factor is that Azur Lane has far more non-Japanese ships such as the Enterprise.

I can definitely see why people are latching to Azur Lane more, since it has English translation from the get-go and it's more eye-catching that KC's 2000-s Yu-Gi-Oh gameplay. Plus, you actually control the girls instead of them being a static image and almost every action dictated by RNG.

>It also helps that chinks did hire actual Jap artists for some of the boats, though they did also hire other chink and Korean artists too.
>The timeline is so fucked that said 'chinese cartoons' are actually from China
Wew lad
I'll be honest, seeing this game made it kinda makes me reconsider the notion that every chinks are bugmen. Same goes with Taleworld's turks. Maybe there are some decent people there.

Besides the Neptunia cross-overs in the mobile game, the spin-off game Crosswave is developed by Idea Factory. Unfortunately my impression of it is not good even as someone tolerant of mediocre Japanese games. They REALLY dropped the ball on not having alt costumes since that is a core feature in many mobile games, Azur Lane included.

As far as the Azur Lane anime goes, to an outsider it's doing very little for me, it's an unfocused mess and also prone to QUALITY when battles are taking place. The only good thing is it's not skimping on fanservice at least not outside of China. There it's all censored, related.

I'm interested, to people who actually play the game, how does the anime hold up for you? I did find the Kantai Collection anime somewhat fun even with only sparse knowledge on them but apparently to those in the know it was awful.

Based chink oppai

I will gladly submit to the chinese communist party if they provide me with good faps
>>5859
If you're going full commie might as well ask for the government issued sexbot.
>>5839
wow I didn't think the chinks had it that bad. The fanservice is pretty much the only thing that keeps me watching, we're six episodes in and I still have no idea what's it about. It really feels like something made for fans where every character will have their 10sec of screentime without anything else happening.

Fuck yes.
Almost halfway point opinions-

gud
>fire force- still pretty good animation, solid fanservice, pretty quick pace, I enjoy the plot well enough even though the whole concept is stupid
>mugen no juunin immortal- sometimes the quality isn't so good, but I like the color scheme even if it sometimes just covers up a lack of detail

mids
>mha- seems slower than past seasons, like they're going to stretch the source material out more
>psychopass 3- not bad so far, sometimes the cgi is impressive and sometimes bad but seems like it's coming along
>no gun life- such a promising first couple of episodes
>azur lane- would be better if they just switched to slice of life but still pretty good boatgirls, I liked the nihon episode
>null peta- just solid and cute

not so good but I didn't drop it
>vinland saga- this has just gotten steadily worse every episode, and I'm not really seeing how it's going to improve from here
>dr stone- early on when it focused more on what science man was doing in a step-by-step way I was enjoying it a little more
>fairy gone 2- idk maybe the first season was boring and I just forgot but it seems like it just got more convoluted and broke

also how is it that black clover continues to have season after season with no breaks and then episodes with such good animation out of nowhere even though no-one seems to like it?

I doubt it's even satisfying the fans, and also while fanservice to 11 the last episode felt like it belonged in China with how much it was covered up, and if that's what we got I really really want to see how the Chinese episode looks.

They'd better deliver with the BDs because it's not so common to see such femininity in an anime. Too bad they're not as forthright as Kandagawa Jet Girls is.

I tried watching that shit. Holy fucking shit was it bad. I want to strangle the MC and strangle whoever decided to pace this shit this way.

>>3902
Tried this. Only watched two episodes. Show seems way too one-note, and that note gets stale immediately.

>>3908
>art is off sometimes, story seems boring, I expect this is a show for 6-10 year olds
It's comfy, but doesn't have great production values. Rough start with the MC acting retarded in front of the family and them just not caring, despite the MC having to use tact later and arousing suspicion from a fellow child.

Anon, are you seriously surprised a made up language isn't using English words?
I seem to have a soft spot for anime where modern advancements in technology are brought to those that lack them. I liked both Ascendance of a Bookworm, despite its middling quality and slow pace, and Dr. Stoner despite its massive gaping plotholes with the Ishigami village backstory. Is it just me, or is the artist for Dr. Stone also the artist of some of my favorite hentai from years ago? Is Boichi actually Yoshu Ohepe? The facial style and thickness of all female characters is uncannily similar.

Damn you, stupid sexy children, stop showing off your assets.
Guys, what if isekais ARE real, and for some reason you actually came from some cool fantasy setting world but chose to be born into your current situation and into this low-magit tier world, you just don't remember it.
What if suicide counts as cheating the game and as punishment you are simply re-born into te same world under even more unfavorable conditions (like, Africa is the default respawn server for suicidals).
>>6547
I didn't plan to go nowhere with that. Just a tought. Been seeing too many isekais out there, that's probably why.

Your hypothesis isn't entirely dismissable, but considering that river's shape and the fact that every anime it's now animated in south Korea, I think it's more believable that those sneaky Kunts would use an arbitrary circular cutout of their capital.
(179.69 KB 900x696 Venice.jpg)
>>6633
It's not Paris 1 to 1, it might have something of Venice thrown into it. The point is there is nothing like that in Korea - I mean medieval radial cities of red bricks, you could spot that kind of generic river corner anywhere.

Consider a similar reference in Discworld.

I'm 95% sure it's a movie, not a season.
Dr. Stone is ending quite miserably. The series is in full rush mode: formely they spent several episodes building a lightbulb; now, they've compressed the assembly of hundreds of components of a cellphone into a 5mins montage.
>>7139
Didn't watch it but I'm surprised the anime reached that point, they're building cellphones pretty late in the manga.
